On October 13th, Shen Guojun, founder and chairman of Yintai Group, founder and honorary chairman of Yintai Public Welfare Foundation, executive chairman of Taohuayuan Foundation, and eight directors of Taohuayuan Foundation went to Jilin Xianghai Public Welfare Nature Reserve for inspection. The directors expressed their greetings and respect to the natural public welfare protection area patrol officers who have long been on the front line, listened to the report on the work of the public welfare protection area, inspected poverty alleviation projects in the surrounding communities of the protection area, and experienced the work of protection area patrol and red crowned crane protection. The Xianghai Public Welfare Protection Area is located in Tongyu County, Baicheng City, Jilin Province, and is an important breeding ground and supply station for migratory birds. Birds have been recorded in 17 orders, 53 families, 132 genera, and 293 species, of which 10 are national first-class protected animals. For a long time, Yintai Public Welfare Foundation and Taohuayuan Foundation have been collaborating in the field of ecological environment protection. At the end of 2016, the work of the Xianghai Nature Reserve was officially launched, with a combination of "scientific protection, patrol management, and community development" protection methods, committed to protecting and restoring the habitats of six crane species, including red crowned cranes, and numerous migratory birds, and restoring the sparse grassland landscape represented by Mongolian yellow elm. After 2 years of conservation work, the red crowned crane, which had been away from Xianghai for 10 years, returned to Xianghai Wetland for breeding in 2018. Nature reserves are shelters for wildlife and the most effective way to maintain ecosystems. On these protected areas, numerous frontline patrol officers patrol day and night, rain or shine, guarding the wild animals and plants that inhabit them. We pay tribute once again to the frontline patrol officers!
