Mr. Shen Guojun gives a lecture on the new era and new public welfare at Peking University

On August 31, 2014, the 2014 Guanghua School of Management Master's Program in Social Welfare Management was held at the Alibaba Lecture Hall of Guanghua School of Management, heading straight to "Yi" at Peking University. Mr. Shen Guojun, Chairman of China Yintai Investment Co., Ltd. and founder of Yintai Public Welfare Foundation, was invited to attend and give a keynote speech entitled "New Era, New Public Welfare". The lecture also invited Professor Chen Yuyu from the Department of Applied Economics at Peking University Guanghua School of Management to share on the possibilities and opportunities of the economy in the next 20 years. At the same time, Professor Xu Jing, Executive Director of the Master's Program in Social Welfare Management at Peking University Guanghua School of Management, also provided a detailed introduction to the project for the audience.

Mr. Shen Guojun, Chairman of China Yintai Investment Co., Ltd. and founder of Yintai Public Welfare Foundation, first explained a concept to the students present through his own experience of public welfare: "Doing public welfare is not only helping others, but also helping oneself. How do public welfare organizations operate in the new era? How to improve the transparency of public welfare institutions? How to design a new public welfare model? In response to the above issues, Mr. Shen Guojun shared his years of experience participating in charitable organizations such as the Love You Charity Foundation and TNC (China). In his speech, Mr. Shen emphasized the shortage of leading talents in public welfare and the promising employment prospects to encourage the students present to apply for this master's program. Shen Guojun also revealed that Mr. Jack Ma, Chairman of Alibaba's Board of Directors, will serve as Honorary Chairman of the Project Council. Finally, Mr. Shen Guojun expressed his gratitude to the leaders at all levels of Peking University and Guanghua School of Management for their full support.

The lecture also invited Chen Yuyu, Senior Professor of the Department of Applied Economics at Peking University Guanghua School of Management, to give a speech entitled "The Possibilities and Opportunities of the Economy in the Next Twenty Years".

The atmosphere of the entire presentation was lively, with frequent interaction between the stage and the audience, and occasional laughter and joy. About 300 project applicants attended the presentation. This lecture is the first in a series of project lectures, and in the future, the Master's Program in Social Welfare Management at Peking University Guanghua School of Management will hold multiple project lectures in Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and other places.
