Shen Guojun: Salute to the New Era, Salute to Labor Creation

On April 28th, the 2018 Global Zhejiang Merchants Gold Award Attitude Conference with the theme of "Creating Wealth, Serving the Country, Contributing to Society, and Competing Globally" was held in Hangzhou. In 2018, which marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up, and on the occasion of International Labor Day, 35 global Zhejiang Business Gold Award winners expressed their "Zhejiang Business Attitude", paying tribute to the new era and labor creation. Shen Guojun, Executive Chairman of Zhejiang Merchants Association and Founder and Chairman of Intime Group, attended the press conference and delivered a message.  

Shen Guojun said, "Zhejiang merchants come from the national background and the small environment of Zhejiang. Zhejiang merchants are a microcosm of reform and opening up, and the crystallization of the '88 Strategy'. The times have made Zhejiang merchants successful, and labor has created Zhejiang merchants. In the future, the socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era will inspire and guide Zhejiang merchants; the wave of globalization will encourage and promote Zhejiang merchants. Zhejiang merchants will always be at the forefront and approach the world."

What attitude should Zhejiang merchants have in the new era? Shen Guojun sent a message to global Zhejiang merchants, saying, "Zhejiang merchants must have an attitude towards global competition, respect for knowledge, patriotism, technological leadership, labor creation, craftsmanship spirit, social responsibility, and other aspects." "Standing at the node of the times, Zhejiang merchants accept the test of history and question whether they truly possess the ideas, patterns, emotions, and attitudes of entrepreneurs. The essence of Zhejiang merchants will always be upheld, with the market as the foundation, production capacity as the foundation, technology as the core, and public welfare as the heart

The Global Zhejiang Merchants Gold Award is an honorary award initiated by the Zhejiang Merchants Association, the Zhejiang Merchants Association Special Committee, and various Zhejiang chambers of commerce around the world. It revolves around major events of Zhejiang merchants and is selected from six dimensions: industrial transformation, business achievements, technological breakthroughs, product innovation, charity and public welfare, international influence, as well as multiple perspectives such as newcomers, new events, and new paths. At present, the Global Zhejiang Business Gold Award has been held twice, and a total of 35 outstanding Zhejiang business representatives have been selected. The winners include Ding Lei, founder and CEO of NetEase, Ding Lieming, Chairman of Beida Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Wang Jianyi, Chairman of Futong Group, and Zhang Yong, CEO of Alibaba Group.  

At the press conference, Ms. Tu Hongyan, Chairman of Wanshili Group, Mr. Jin Liangshun, Chairman of Jinggong Group Co., Ltd., Mr. Li Xiande, Chairman of Jingke Energy Co., Ltd., Mr. Shen Jianping, Chairman of Zhejiang Huateng Animal Husbandry Co., Ltd., Ms. Tao Xiaoying, Chairman of Santi Group Co., Ltd., Mr. Zhu Fujiang, Chairman of Hangzhou Minsheng Pharmaceutical Holdings Group Co., Ltd., and Mr. Wang Shuifu, Chairman of Xizi United Holdings Co., Ltd., seven global Zhejiang Business Gold Award winners, expressed the "Zhejiang Business Attitude" of paying tribute to the motherland, paying tribute to labor, paying tribute to scientific and technological innovation, and paying tribute to the future on behalf of global Zhejiang businesses from seven aspects: social responsibility, craftsmanship spirit, global competition, respecting knowledge, labor creation, patriotism, and technological leadership.
