The Overall Tourism Plan of Yanmen Pass Scenic Area (2020-2035) has been approved
On November 10th, the Shanxi Provincial Government held its 89th executive meeting and passed the "Yanmen Pass Scenic Area Tourism Master Plan (2020-2035)".
The "Yanmen Pass Scenic Area Tourism Overall Plan (2020-2035)" implements the strategic deployment of the construction of the Great Wall National Cultural Park and the three major tourism sectors in Shanxi Province, combined with the actual protection and tourism development of Yanmen Pass Scenic Area, based on resources, market-oriented, and development goals, and clarifies the direction of the protection, utilization, and development of the Great Wall scenic area; Clarify the development goals and positioning of the scenic area; Clarify the development strategy of scenic tourism products; Clarify the layout of scenic tourism projects and infrastructure construction; Clarify the implementation steps and management measures for the development and construction of scenic spots. Realize the transformation of Yanmen Pass Scenic Area from a sightseeing scenic area to a cultural experience tourism destination, and make a leap from an extensive scenic area to a high-quality cultural and tourism destination, creating a national level model of high-quality development of cultural and tourism integration. Build a high-quality cultural tourism brand that is internationally renowned, domestically first-class, and led by Shanxi.
Shanxi Yanmenguan Scenic Area is one of the operated and managed scenic spots under Yintai Culture and Tourism Group, and is a national 5A level scenic spot. The Great Wall Yanmenguan section is a world cultural heritage and a national key cultural relic protection unit. Yanmen Pass has been known as the "Nine Passes in the World, with Yanmen as the Leader" since ancient times. It is located in Dai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province and is one of the famous "Outer Three Passes" of the Great Wall (namely Yanmen Pass, Ningwu Pass, and Piantou Pass). Yanmen Pass is highly favored and loved by Chinese and foreign tourists for its unique border style and rich cultural connotations of the Great Wall.
