Yintai Charity's "2017 Young Scholars Study Camp on Chinese Modern and Contemporary History" opens in Hangzhou

The "2017 Chinese Modern and Contemporary History Young Scholars Study Camp" jointly organized by Yintai Public Welfare Foundation and Zhejiang University Chiang Kai shek and Modern China Research Center opened in Hangzhou. More than 20 tutors and young scholars from Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, Russia, the United States and Italy participated.

At the brief opening ceremony, the Secretary General of Intime Charity Foundation introduced the four major public welfare areas involved in Intime Charity: talent cultivation for social welfare management, research on modern Chinese history, ecological environmental protection, and livelihood assistance. Among them, the "Research Program on Modern Chinese History" aims to create an academic platform for communication and sharing. Professor Chen Hongmin, Director of the Center for Chiang Kai shek and Modern China Studies at Zhejiang University, thanks Yintai for its support in the study of modern Chinese history and hopes that young scholars can continue their academic legacy through the study camp.

3.jpgSubsequently, Yang Tianshi, a member and researcher of the Honorary Department of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Alexander Panzov, a professor at the History School of Capital University in the United States, respectively gave themed academic lectures on "The Contradictions between Chiang Kai shek and the US Government in the Taiwan Period" and "Mao Zedong and Chiang Kai shek in Soviet Archives".
