Shen Guojun attends the 2018 semi annual work conference of the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce

On June 12th, the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce held its 2018 semi annual work conference and backbone training and learning meeting in Hangzhou. About 150 people, including leaders of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Zhejiang Merchants Association, members of the association and heads of special committees, executive directors of the association, and representatives of Qin merchants who came from afar, attended the study. Shen Guojun, Executive Chairman of the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce, summarized the work of the Chamber of Commerce in the first half of the year and looked forward to the work in the second half of the year at the meeting.

Shen Guojun pointed out that in the first half of the year, the association has strengthened its functions in multiple dimensions, including economic, platform, think tank, organizational, and service functions. It has achieved certain results in exploring new economic models, organizing participation in various activities, communicating with government and enterprises, strengthening the construction of special committees, and establishing Zhejiang merchants' rights protection organizations.

In the second half of the year, we will always deepen our learning and enhance the awareness of socialist market entities among Zhejiang merchants; By summarizing the experience of reform and opening up, organizing various activities, and enhancing the reform spirit of Zhejiang merchants; Using the "Huashang Qingling" training class as a carrier to enhance the patriotic sentiment of Zhejiang merchants; Seriously organize and hold the World Health Conference to enhance the competitiveness of Zhejiang businessmen in international competition; Using activities such as "Gobi Training" as a platform, create diverse learning methods to enhance the learning abilities of Zhejiang merchants; Taking the "Smart Action" to assist impoverished severely hearing-impaired individuals as a starting point, we aim to comprehensively enhance the social responsibility of Zhejiang merchants. Shen Guojun stated that through this series of measures, the association will continue to serve, lead, and unite Zhejiang merchants, working together to serve the country and the economic and social development of Zhejiang.

In the analysis of the survival status of enterprises, President Jack Ma and Vice Presidents Zheng Jianjiang and Wang Licheng deeply analyzed the current economic development situation from their respective industry and enterprise perspectives, and then explored the methods for entrepreneurs to continue to survive in the future, bringing unique inspiration to the participants.

Zheng Jianjiang believes that the current macroeconomic liquidity has decreased, and the overall environment is not optimistic. On a micro level, historical factors exert enormous pressure on the capital chain of enterprises. The reason for the rapid development of Zhejiang merchants lies in timely transformation, practical emphasis on product quality, innovation, and appropriate investment and debt on this basis. He reminded Zhejiang businessmen to be wary of "leverage" in the investment field and hoped that entrepreneurs would have their own "determination".

Wang Licheng believes that in the face of a severe external environment, the best solution for Zhejiang merchants is to "go global" and actively participate in globalization, achieving self-improvement through global resource allocation and global management. Wang Licheng also encouraged the attendees that difficult environments are often the best time to stand out. By recognizing the situation, actively seeking change, and following the trend, every enterprise can embark on a path of sunshine in the future.

Jack Ma pointed out in his analysis of the survival status of enterprises that as an entrepreneur, good days should be cherished, difficult days should be adapted, and solving problems is where the value of entrepreneurs lies. When the economic situation is very good, we should be even more cautious, as overheating is often the root cause of problems. Entrepreneurs need to have determination, understand policies instead of waiting for them. It's better to look at trends than to talk about the situation. They need to proactively adapt, think clearly about their own company's advantages, and prepare in advance for elimination, transfer, and upgrading.

In the next thirty years, there will be a reshuffle, and entrepreneurs need to have a sense of urgency.
