Shen Guojun attends the third anniversary conference of Fenghua's establishment of districts and will do his best to promote the development of his hometown

On November 17th, the third anniversary conference of the establishment of Fenghua District in Ningbo City was held grandly. Nearly 300 Fengtian Party, government, and military leaders, well-known figures in the business and overseas Chinese community, experts and scholars, and guests from around the world returned to their hometowns to share their feelings and seek common development. As a renowned entrepreneur and outstanding rural scholar from Fenghua, Shen Guojun, founder and chairman of Intime Group and chairman of China United Industrial Investment Co., Ltd., attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Fenghua, located in the southern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, is the core area of development in the southern part of Ningbo City. It is one of the top 100 counties (cities) in China in terms of county-level economic competitiveness and has been repeatedly awarded titles such as National Health City, China's Excellent Tourism City, Best Ecological and Cultural Tourism City, and the first batch of National Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Cities. In November 2016, Fenghua was upgraded from a city to a district, further integrating into the national development strategy of the Yangtze River Delta integration.

Gao Haomeng, Secretary of the Fenghua District Committee of Ningbo, delivered a welcome speech. He welcomed everyone who traveled thousands of miles back to their hometowns to participate in the third anniversary conference of Fenghua District, and expressed gratitude for everyone's long-term care and support for their hometown. Gao Haomeng stated that since the establishment of Fenghua District, the focus has been on the goal of "one sample per year, three major changes in three years, and a new Fenghua in five years". With double the pace and speed of progress, various undertakings in the district have achieved positive changes, which are manifested in four aspects: faster development speed, stronger development momentum, higher development quality, and better development experience. This is the result of the concerted efforts and joint struggles of Fenghua people at home and abroad. He hopes that all the local elites can leverage their respective strengths and continue to care for and support the development of their hometown. He also hopes that everyone can often go home to visit, walk on familiar streets, taste the taste of childhood, drink fragrant old wine, and chat about familiar daily life. For my hometown, this is the best gift.

Shen Guojun stated that he will do his best and spare no effort to promote the development of his hometown. The farther a person is from his hometown, the closer their heart is to it. ”Shen Guojun stated in his speech that the local dialect, homesickness, and emotions cannot be changed, and his blessings and sincerity towards his hometown will never change. Every year, I return to Fenghua to witness the development and changes of my hometown. He deeply felt that the pattern of Fenghua's great development has been opened up, with significant improvements in infrastructure, urban management level, business environment, and other aspects. The future development space is also very broad.

Shen Guojun founded Intime Group in Beijing in 1997 and established a company in Ningbo the following year, beginning to serve the people of his hometown. He successively opened Intime Department Store at the east entrance of Ningbo city and Tianyi Square, developed and built Intime City and Intime Global City in the eastern part of Ningbo, and developed and built Intime City in Fenghua, Yuyao, Beilun, Cixi and other places.

At the same time, Intime Group has established an industrial investment company in Ningbo, vigorously supporting Ningbo's intelligent manufacturing industry through the integration of commercial capital and industry; We have vigorously developed the cultural tourism industry in our hometown of Fenghua, and operate and manage the national 5A level scenic spot - Xikou Xuedou Mountain Scenic Area. We are also developing and constructing the "Republican Style Street" to further support the development of Fenghua.

In 2019, Sina Life, jointly established by Intime Group and Sina and other enterprises, will also settle in Fenghua, which has important strategic significance for Fenghua's economic transformation and upgrading.

Outside of business, Shen Guojun also brings public welfare and charity undertakings to Fenghua. He has donated funds to Fenggang Junior High School and his alma mater Fenghua No.2 Middle School for education, actively promoted academic research on modern Chinese history and oral history preservation, and strongly supported the construction of the Cultural Museum of the Republic of China. In 2015, Shen Guojun also teamed up with entrepreneurs such as Jack Ma and Ma Huateng to establish the Taohuayuan Ecological Protection Foundation in his hometown Fenghua, exploring how to combine public welfare with business for sustainable ecological protection. As the Executive President of the Zhejiang Merchants Association (Global) and the President of the Ningbo Merchants Association (Global), Shen Guojun actively recommends his hometown to the outside world, hoping to enable more Zhejiang and Ningbo merchants to discover market opportunities and development space in their hometown Fenghua. Under his strong promotion, the Zhejiang Merchants Association will organize a group of well-known entrepreneurs to visit Ningbo at the end of this month or the beginning of next month, "hoping that large enterprises can land in their hometown and participate in the development of their hometown." Shen Guojun said, "Missing hometown does not require reasons, and supporting hometown construction does not require excuses." His concern and support for the economic and social development of his hometown comes from the bottom of his heart, hoping that his hometown will be good and develop better and better.
