The National Qinghai Tibet Plateau Scientific Expedition Team went to Yintai Gold Group's Qinghai Dachaidan Mining for field investigation
In August 2021, the second Qinghai Tibet Plateau scientific expedition led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences will go to Qinghai Dachaidan Mining of Yintai Gold Group for field investigation and comprehensive research on "scientific investigation and prospective assessment of rare and precious metals (gold, nickel, cobalt, chromite, platinum group elements)".

The scientific expedition team further deepened their understanding of the existence of large-scale thrust structures in the Tanjian Mountain area of the Dachaidan Mining in Qinghai Province by examining the deep-seated thrust structures exposed by drilling in the Xijinggou mining area and conducting field investigations; And conducted on-site inspections of the Baiyuntan Baitoushan project and the Honghonggou gold mine at the First Geological Survey Institute of Qinghai Province.
After the inspection, the scientific expedition team had a summary and exchange with technical personnel from Yintai Gold Group Qinghai Dachaidan Mining Co., Ltd. and the First Survey Institute. At the exchange meeting, the researcher made a summary speech on the controlling role and prospecting direction of the thrust structure on the gold deposits in the Tanjianshan area, as well as the gold mineralization prospects in the Baiyun Tan Baitoushan area. They also discussed and answered the problems encountered by the project team and the company during the prospecting process.
During this inspection and guidance, experts provided a vivid exploration course for employees of Yintai Gold Group with their exquisite professional knowledge and superb skills. The existence of reverse fault thrust bodies is of great significance for the structural evolution of the Chaibei margin area and the resource prospects of the Tanjian Mountain area. It provides a new direction for Yintai Gold Group to break through the traditional deep exploration ideas and also points out the direction for better exploration and geological exploration work.
The comprehensive scientific expedition to the Qinghai Tibet Plateau is a national key scientific expedition activity. The second comprehensive scientific expedition to the Tibetan Plateau was launched in 2017, led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and participated by relevant research units, universities, Xizang Autonomous Region and other relevant units.
